There isn’t anybody who can’t be hypnotized . On the other hand there are plenty of people who don’t WANT to be hypnotized, but they’re not likely to pay me 200 bucks just for the satisfaction of proving that I can’t hypnotize them.

The point I’m trying to make here is that hypnosis is a normal state that you go in and out of hundreds of times a day. But if you do not want to be hypnotized you will simply not allow it to happen. You are the one in control.

For more information read my what is hypnosis page. But rest assured, if you want to undergo hypnosis and you trust the process, you will be easily hypnotized. There are three key elements that are essential for any hypnosis session, which I will explain in detail below.

You Need To Relax

The essential elements of a successful hypnotherapy experience

This is important. It’s perfectly normal to feel a little apprehensive if it is your first time. But you have to trust your hypnotherapist or you won’t allow yourself to be hypnotised.

And, since in order to feel relaxed you have to feel comfortable, it’s important that you choose your therapist wisely. When you’re choosing a hypnotherapist you need to make sure you are comfortable with the person you are seeing. Trust and rapport are paramount in this process.

You Need To Co-operate

Hypnosis is essentially self-hypnosis so I need your permission if we’re going to work together. As I previously mentioned if you’re not willing to go with the process, hypnosis will not work. In my practise I have seen thousands of clients, all of whom went into a state of hypnosis easily.

In all that time there have only been one or two people who didn’t respond to the process, and this is because they were in a highly agitated state at the time. So you need to be in the right headspace when you undergo hypnosis. For more information on the right conditions and environment to undergo hypnosis, read the ‘is hypnosis safe’ page.

You Need To Concentrate

All you need to do is relax and concentrate on the sound of my voice. The rest will take care of itself. Hypnosis puts you in a state where your subconscious mind is highly tuned in to what I am saying, while your conscious mind is turned down during that time.

You can read my scientific articles page to see individual studies that prove hypnotherapy is a widely accepted form of therapy. Hypnosis is a safe and effective treatment for many conditions including weight loss, confidence, and and effective communication skills.

To make sure you’re comfortable with being hypnotized you should always choose a fully accredited hypnotherapist. I am based in Melbourne, so please contact me via this page for more information.
