Want to use hypnosis to prove to your spouse you’re telling the truth about not having an affair? Look elsewhere because I can’t help you with that. Hypnosis is not a truth serum. Nor is it a magical cure-all that can:

  • Make your hair grow;
  • Make you grow taller;
  • Enlarge your breasts;
  • Raise or lower your metabolism

Alas, there are some things hypnotherapy cannot help you with, although there are plenty of dodgy practitioners out there that will gladly take your money and tell you otherwise. So….I suggest you do some hard research before you commit to making any decisions.

Conditions that cannot be treated by a hypnotherapist

When you are researching hypnotherapists, check their credentials and read as much information you can on the myths and facts about hypnosis. Here are some pages to get you started:

In addition to this, I have compiled a list of scientific studies on my hypnosis research articles page that tell you the cold hard facts about hypnosis and where studies have shown it is effective. Browse through these articles as they offer lots of detailed information about this subject.

If It Sounds Too Good To Be True It Probably Is

I do not use the word ‘cure’ anywhere on my website. This is not to say that when people have come to me for assistance with an illness that I have not removed this problem; just that I can’t promise to cure anythingIn particular, there is no known ‘cure’ for any of these conditions:

  • Cancer;
  • Anxiety
  • Depression;
  • Fibromyalgia;
  • Chronic Pain;

In my opinion any practitioner that promises to cure these conditions is behaving unethically. I can certainly help you to manage the symptoms produced by these conditions – but I will not offer you false hope for the sake of my hip pocket.

My aim is to provide information to help you make an informed decision as to whether or not you may be able to benefit from hypnosis. Call or email me on my contact page if you would like to discuss your requirements or if you have any questions.
