Questions to help you find the best hypnotherapist

Everybody wants to work with the best hypnotherapist, and Melbourne is certainly a great place to find qualified professionals who know their stuff.

The training available here allows us to produce some of the most talented and competent therapists in the whole of Australia.

When you’re searching for the first time on this subject, it can be difficult to know where to start. It’s much easier when you know someone else who has tried it; often they can give you a referral to someone they’ve used.

But if you don’t have that luxury, then some serious investigation is required to find the right fit for your situation. I’ve put together some guidelines to help you with your search. There are three steps you must take to find the right fit. here they are:

ONE: Have a Real, Live Conversation

I get a lot of emails from potential clients, asking me about my services. The first thing I do is call them, because the more I know about their situation, the better I can guide them.

It’s the same for you; the more you know about your hypnotherapist, including how she works, what her processes are and how specifically she can help your situation, the better and more informed decision you can make.

When you talk to your potential hypnotherapist, you can get a feel for who she is and most importantly, you’ll work out if you have a rapport with her.

I can’t stress this enough; trust is the number one factor in determining whether or not your hypnosis sessions will be effective.

If you don’t trust your hypnotherapist, if you don’t feel like she has your back, then you won’t go into hypnosis. So get on the phone, have a chat and take it from there.

TWO: Don’t Make Price the Decider

Most people who contact me want to know just 2 things:

  1. How much does it cost?
  2. How long is each session?

While it’s important to know from a budgeting perspective what you’ll be up for in terms of cost, if you rely on these answers alone, you’ll be doing yourself a great disservice.

In fact, choosing a hypnotherapist based on price alone will cost you more money in the long run. There are many other important question you should be asking, for example:

  • What are your qualifications?
  • How long have you been practising?
  • How specifically will you approach my problem?
  • How many sessions will I need?
  • Do you do the same session every time?
  • Will I need follow up sessions?

The key is to get a broad perspective. The more information you have, the better chance you have of finding someone who can really help you.

THREE: Trust Your Gut

If you ask ten different people which therapist you should choose, you’ll get ten different answers. Nobody else can give you the right answer, because they’re always looking at it from their perspective, not yours.

You are the only person who can make this decision, and once you’re armed yourself with all the information you need, it will be an easy decision to make.

Trust yourself. If you like the sound of the therapist, if you feel comfortable talking to her, and if she has answered all your questions thoroughly, you’ve got a winner.

You can find the best hypnotherapist in Melbourne by doing thorough research, asking the right questions and trusting your intuition.
